Mark your calendars for the Plymouth Mural & Arts Festival weekend June 28-30, 2013, in historic Plymouth, Wisconsin. Join us as we will celebrate Plymouth's murals, music, theater, children's activities, and the arts. The weekend festival Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30, boasts a wide variety of activities, including a juried fine art fair, live music, strolling entertainers and musicians, street vendors, a Cabaret show, community theater events, and children's activities ranging from a petting zoo and interactive storytelling to coloring huge 7' long murals scattered throughout the downtown area. The entire weekend event is free to the public and perfect for a family weekend getaway or a convenient day trip. Festival Brings Murals to Life
Plymouth is home to a record 25 beautifully hand-painted murals, 21 of which were created by over 160 Walldog artists in 2011. See the murals come to life during the Festival with children's activities, Mural Walks, a mural trivia contest, and a dedication ceremony for Plymouth's 25th mural.
June 28 - Friday Night
Friday night activities include the "Mill Street Live," a cabaret musical performance from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at the Plymouth Arts Center as well as free admission to the "Alive in the Arts" exhibition on display in Gallery 110 North. Mill Street Live's high-energy song and dance review features popular music guaranteed to entertain audiences of all ages. Call the Plymouth Arts Center at (920) 892-8409 to purchase tickets.
June 29 - Saturday
Saturday will feature a wide variety of family-friendly activities designed to appeal to all age groups. A silent auction of artwork will benefit the Plymouth Arts Center. At 7:00 pm, everyone will gather for the dedication of the 25th community mural. In addition to the Fine Arts Festival, participants can enjoy
- Kettle Moraine Car Club (10:00 - 3:00 p.m.)
- Nostalgic fair foods like cotton candy, snow cones, and an ice cream social
- Walking tours of the different murals available throughout the day
- Whisper Hill Clydesdales wagon rides along the mural route
- Strolling entertainers meandering through the downtown
Children's events include
- Music with Mr. Pickles and other children's musicians

June 30 - Sunday
Sunday offers more opportunities for mural gazing, live entertainment, shopping at the many antique and specialty shops, children's activities, and of course enjoying the many delicious treats and eats throughout the downtown. And, since Plymouth is the gateway to Kettle Moraine, nature and outdoor enthusiasts can head west to explore the beautiful and unique Upper Kettle Moraine area.

Keep the kids busy with children's art and music activities all weekend long, while enjoying Plymouth's charming blend of antique and specialty shops and sampling the eclectic mix of food vendors and delicious dining choices.
Fine Art Spectacular
The festival coincides with the fifth annual juried Festival of Fine Arts at the Plymouth Arts Center. Over 25 local and regional artists will display and sell their original fine art from their booths on Mill Street from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, June 29. Artists working in a wide range of media will compete for Best in Show awards and cash prizes. During the art fair hours, look for artist demonstrations, face painting, and ongoing kids’ art workshops conducted by Abrakadoodle in the Arts Center classrooms, where children can create and take home their own works of art.
