Plymouth has the good fortune of being placed
just east of the Kettle
Moraine State Forest, offering visitors four seasons of great recreational
opportunities. The Forest offers biking, hiking, camping, skiing, snowmobiling
and a fabulous vista of fall colors.
In addition to local favorite golf courses, Plymouth is within an easy
drive to world-renowned golf courses such as Blackwolf Run and Whistling
Straits, home of the 2004 PGA Championship.
Besides Lake Michigan, there are many inland lakes and rivers with good
fishing. Winter sports bring visitors to snowmobile and ski, both downhill
and cross-country. Visit when you can - there’s always something
to do!

Antiquing
Plymouth is the ultimate destination for antique lovers! We have six antique
shops which offer a large selection of vintage clothing, jewelry,
furniture, glass, art, pottery, clocks, and collectibles. Plus many other
unique treasures. You have to see it to believe it.

Biking
Kettle Moraine State Forest includes 14,500 acres
and has several challenging off-road mountain bike
trails to challenge all levels of bikers. A map of the Old Plank Road

Plymouth Rock Camping

4 miles north of Plymouth on Hwy. 67 on Little Elkhart Lake. Plymouth Rock is a beautiful
camping resort with two large heated pools, whirlpool, kiddie pool, 9-hole
mini golf, asphalt roller track and two large playgrounds, 483 sites available
with all types of hook-ups.

Plymouth hosts the Sheboygan
County Fair which is held on Labor Day weekend. It is one of the largest
county fairs in Wisconsin and includes over 16,000 exhibits. Attractions
include live music, animals, carnival rides and tractor pulls. Don't forget
the deep-fried cheese, cotton candy, caramel apples, cream puffs and a
local favorite - brats!

Fall Foliage Drive

Approximately 25 miles of the Kettle
Moraine Scenic Drive runs through western Sheboygan County, providing
spectacular displays of fall color. Peak color generally runs from mid-September through mid-October. Call for a driving brochure. The Greenbush
Trail offers four loops, rolling/open, wooded, intermediate.The Parnell
trail offers 7.6 km rolling, wooded, expert trail. Park sticker required.

Kettle Moraine State Forest - (262) 626-2116
The
Kettle Moraine State Forest, Northern Unit, runs from Glenbeulah in
the North, south to Kewaskum, near West Bend. It is named for its geologically
significant land formations, created by the movement and melting of glaciers
between 10,000 and 25,000 years ago. The 30,000 acre forest offers an
abundant variety of recreational trails,
from hiking, biking, horseback riding, nature observation, camping, swimming,
boating, and fishing in the summer to snowmobiling, cross-country skiing,
and ice fishing in the winter.

Located inside the Kettle Moraine State Forest, this 60-foot high wooden
tower was rebuilt in 1988 and offers a panoramic view of the forest and
surrounding farmlands. On a clear day, observers can see as far as 25
miles! Park sticker required for admission. Open year round.

Built in the 1850's by early settler, Sylvanus Wade, the three-story frame
building was formerly a stagecoach inn. Many of the original early American
furnishings decorate the house. Also on the grounds are Robinson House,
the home of Wade's daughter and son-in-law, and the Jung Carriage Museum,
featuring over 100 vehicles in one of America's finest carriage collections.
The Wade
House hosts the Civil War Reenactment on an annual basis. All buildings
are open May thru Oct. from 10 am-5 pm daily. Admission.

America’s longest and finest natural road racing facility. This
track offers four miles and 14 turns on 530 rolling, wooden acres. Specialty

Go-kart racing isn't just for kids anymore! Road America Kart Club offers two championship racing series, the
RAKC Saturday series and TERAKC Tuesday evening series.
Drivers compete in different classes according to age and engine choice (Kid Karts age 5 to 7, Sports Class 8 to 12, Junior Class 12 to 15, Senior Class 15 and up). RAKC Race Series runs both 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines on select weekends. The
TERAKC race series runs 4-cycle engines and Kid Karts on Tuesday nights.

Snow Sports

An easy drive into the hills from anywhere in the Midwest, the Kettles
are rapidly becoming the weekend stop for ski enthusiasts. Local devotees
of the sport have developed a log cabin shelter where skiers gather to
swap stories about their long treks into the woods. Rugged wilderness
survivalists can winter camp in the park, while others cozy up to a fireplace
in one of the area's many fine lodgings. Ice

Ice Skating
Gather your family and friends together for some old-fashioned winter
fun on the ice. Due to the drawdown of the Mill Pond this winter, ice skating has been moved. The City has created an ice rink at the North Side Ball Diamond, located in City Park. Restroom facilities and benches will be available. Special lighting will allow night skating. Admission is free so you can skate as often as you wish! There are no set hours of operation as there will be no attendant. There is no hockey this year, pleasure skating only, please.

Plymouth's own Nutt Hill caters to ski and snow board enthusiasts of all ages. Located off of West Main Street in Plymouth, Nutt Hill offers two challenging lit runs, the longest being 1,200 feet. Two rope tows service the hill. Nutt Hill will open for the season when 12 inches of natural snow is on the ground. Ski Thursdays and take advantage of our Family Night discount! The entire family can ski for only $20 (resident) and $25 (non-resident). A heated shelter is available for warming up and grabbing a soda, hot chocolate or snack. Refresh yourself on those hot muggy days with an invigorating dip in our
pool.
If you are more adventurous, try our water slide! We also offer swimming
lessons and water aerobics for the serious water lover.
Community Swim - (920) 892-5068
Take a dip in the Plymouth High School pool. Swimmers must be able to swim or an adult must accompany them. Minimum water depth is 42 inches. Participants must furnish their own towel and swim suit. A lap lane is available during this open swim time. Please make sure the pool is open before droping off your children.
